K-128 Expectations In order to provide the students with an excellent educational environment they deserve, I have developed the following Classroom Management Plan that will be in effect at all times. Rules:
We will be SAFE and responsible, using walking feet and calm bodies.
We will use listening ears and quiet voices to stay ON-TASK.
We will be ACTIVE FRIENDS in our school community and maintain a safe and clean environment.
We will be RESPECTFUL, kind and helpful.
Our classroom expectations will help us SOAR in Kindergarten! SOAR: Safe On-Task Active Friends Respectful
I hope as you and your child become acquainted with the classroom, you will understand the importance of the rules I’ve selected. The four rules promote a safe, caring, and healthy environment for everyone in and outside the classroom.
What You Can Work On At Home:
Math- Recognizing number words (one, two, three, four, etc), counting correctly to twenty, and addition up to 10.
ELA- Writing (including handwriting) is something we work on all day, every day. We write in every subject. Any extra practice at home is wonderful! Tracing practice and copying sentences will help with this. - Guided Reading (Independent encouragement) - Letter Sounds - Letter Formation - Handwriting - Numbers 0-20 - Number words - High frequency/sight words
Reading at Home: Set aside 10-30 minutes of reading with your child.
